30 Jun Qigong in the morning
I’ve been doing qigong in the mornings and sometimes during the day if my energy is lagging and also before bed. It is a very gentle body-awareness practice. Natural movements. I think children would love this. I’ve never liked the idea of teaching young children meditation (that idea became popular on the west coast) because I think they are naturally in tune with source so it seems silly to make them sit there.
The natural movements of Qigong are playful and flowing and would encourage them to remain body-aware throughout their life. This body-aware attunement is what becomes their protection and ability to navigate their world because the body alerts us to danger or disharmony if we pay attention.
